If you didn't know, I love to help out my fellow authors--and myself naturally--by promoting books on GreatBooksGreatDeals.com Well, today, I happened to be reading a two-star review of a book, about the fact that there wasn't enough angst ... and that she gave up less than half the way... Ummm ... can anyone say climax? Oh well, I understand ... sort of. If a book doesn't hold my attention, I give up. But ... that doesn't mean I need fireworks. Call me old-fashioned, but I love the slow burn of a relationship ... or sometimes just getting to know the character. If getting to know them keeps my interest, I don't need fireworks and car chases. I enjoy the ride. Of course, there's always a climax, but unlike so many new novels ...
