And because you read what I wrote, I’ll write ! Okay, so clearly, I am not a poet , but I do like to write. So if you’re interested in what I write, read on... To show you, my readers, thanks and to meet new readers too, I wrote a mini-mystery series just for you. What’s in a genre? Who really decides? I write NOVELS. #AmWriting #Blog

After hearing all the comments and reviews during my querying process, I eventually came to the realization that nobody knows exactly what niche a book will fit snugly. One publisher may say not romantic enough, while another says too romantic. One may suggest mystery, another says definitely romance. ( true story) Does it really make people feel better if they can classify a book as romance, modern, contemporary, thriller, mystery, suspense, and the list goes on with so many sub-genres I’ve lost count. The only genres I can easily put a label on are paranormal and fantasy, but then again, even those waters are now muddy with all sorts of sub-genres. Then, I hear, if I write romantic-suspense, I cannot add a little paranormal in the mix. Your fans will not follow you. Who makes these rules? Guess what, my newest series has all the romantic-suspense aspects my readers enjoy, but I threw in a paranormal twist.  Why? Because I make the rules, and I believe ...

Meet SHE BELONGS TO ME's male protagonist, Jordan ~ FREE #RomanticSuspense

Here's a brief description of my male protagonist, Jordan Monroe, from She Belongs to Me,  seen from my female protagonist's POV the first time she sees him. Excerpt: At that precise moment, the man sitting at her booth looked up from his menu, acknowledging her presence. Wow ! Now she understood Amy’s grin and offer to assist. She gawked in awe. The man at her table was a real looker. Not in a generic, Hollywood way. He was a genuine, all-American, striking male. The man’s face, chiseled and sculpted to perfection, stared back: square chin, high cheekbones and angular nose, all framed by a neatly trimmed beard trailing up his jaw that only added to his rugged look. His hair was a deep brown, almost black and cropped short, military-style. His build also resembled an officer of some sort. His shoulders were broad and held back in perfect posture, and based on their width, she now understood the need for a larger booth. According to readers,  She Belongs ...

After 600 reviews averaging 4+ stars, readers have a common comment: Jordan! Possessive or Caring, you decide...

Excerpt: Jordan had his arm latched around her waist. “It sort of reminds me of our first anniversary, the cruise to San Juan, only safer. I never felt comfortable there.” She laughed. “Exactly where do you feel comfortable?” She leaned back against his chest as they marveled at the street performers who painted and danced for money. He tightened his grip around her and nuzzled her neck, laughing too. “That’s true. When I have such a precious commodity that I’m in charge of protecting, how can I relax?” “You’re so silly, Jordan. I don’t think anyone is going to try to run off with me.” He kissed the top of her head. “They’ll be sorry if they try.” She sighed. She never had to worry when he was with her. Jordan would always protect her. She’d never fretted wherever they went, even Puerto Rico. She knew nobody would take him on. After reading the 600-plus reviews--just on Amazon; there are two hundred more on iTunes and B&N--there seems to be a common c...

If you haven't read  The Depot , please skip this sample and grab the FREE book via one of the links at the bottom of this post. This is week three, if you missed the first sample, you can catch up  here . Mark grabbed his radio and keys off his desk, then knocked on the partition surrounding Tim Townsend’s cubicle . His partner seemed oblivious that the captain was even in the office, but then again, Tim was oblivious of most things. Well, except women. If a beautiful woman had walked in, he’d have been on his feet in seconds. “Let’s go, Townsend,” Mark demanded , awakening his partner from his comatose -like state that he’d been in for the last week. Even when he was here, he was rarely present. Tim dropped his newspaper, looking around as if he hadn’t realized he was at work. Based on his crumpled shirt and loose tie, and the fact ...
